Hello, I’m Catherine Morrow, the photographer and owner of Boudoir by Catherine.
At the heart of my work is my passion for helping women love and celebrate the skin they’re in right now. Our bodies are the home we’ve grown up in, and the same one we will grow old in. They are remarkable, powerful, and deserving of all the love we can give them.
Having struggled with body image issues for most of my life, I truly understand the pain of looking in the mirror and not liking what you see—or feeling disconnected from the person staring back at you. I know what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, to not see your beauty, or not even recognize yourself. I spent many years unable to see, love or accept myself as I truly was—and I can never get that time back. But now, I dedicate myself to helping women shift their perspective and see their own beauty. My mission is to empower you to embrace your unique, captivating self and start living the best, most fulfilled version of your life —because you, my dear, are extraordinary.
My love affair with photography began long before I could even remember, with a camera often in hand throughout my childhood. In high school, I began capturing everything around me and entered photography competitions. To my surprise, I won—and that was just the beginning. After graduation, I started taking photos for friends and family, treating it as a hobby. A few years later, I officially launched Catherine Diann Photography, but it wasn’t until 2020 that my path would take a life-changing turn. During the long quarantine days, I stumbled upon boudoir photography—something entirely new to me, and quite honestly, a little taboo at the time. Having grown up in a conservative household, I didn’t even know boudoir was a thing! But the more I explored, the more I felt an undeniable pull. I had to dive deeper.
By 2021, I was ready to give it a try. Two friends came over for my very first boudoir sessions—back to back, in my master bedroom. Though the setup wasn’t luxurious, the magic was undeniable. One of my friends had just had a baby and was struggling with body acceptance after childbirth. Watching her see herself through my lens, her face lighting up as she saw her beauty, brought tears to my eyes. That moment changed everything for me. I realized that boudoir wasn’t just about creating beautiful, intimate images—it was about transformation. It was about showing women the stunning, radiant beings they are, often long before they recognize it themselves.
From there, I was hooked. I knew I wanted every woman to experience that same life-altering moment of self-love and empowerment. But I also knew that I could make it even better. That’s why, after several years of learning, growing, and refining my craft, I now offer a luxury, full-day boudoir empowerment experience—a true act of self-love.
